Vertafore Makes Cited AI Answers Available in ImageRight

Vertafore made its Document Intelligence Agent generally available in ImageRight on September 28, giving agencies that use the document-management system a new way to research files during service work. The company says authorized users can ask questions across accessible records and receive answers with document- and page-level citations.

For an agency buyer, the decision is whether that ImageRight capability belongs in an existing agreement or a new document-management purchase. The announcement identifies the host product but does not state a price, billing unit, minimum commitment, cancellation terms or whether existing ImageRight subscriptions include the agent without an additional charge. Those terms need to be confirmed with Vertafore before an agency can determine its cost.

From early adoption to general availability

In a September 23 announcement, Vertafore described the agent as being with early adopters and targeted general availability for September. The September 28 release announced that next step. Agencies can now assess an available capability rather than a planned one, though general availability does not establish what any particular customer’s contract includes.

Vertafore says the agent can search accessible Word documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, images and email. Its examples include comparing coverage terms and assembling documented claims or communication histories. In those tasks, page-level citations give staff a way to check an answer against the underlying record.

The company also reports that one early-test research task took approximately two minutes rather than approximately 20. That example illustrates a possible use, not a measured time saving across agencies. The practical buying question is whether cited searches across an agency’s authorized files meet a service need—and what access and contract terms apply.
