Thimble Adds Small-Business Quoting Route for Bold Penguin Users

Thimble’s September 25, 2026, integration with Bold Penguin adds a natural-language route to small-business insurance quotes for users of the distributor’s platform, according to Thimble. The company also describes quote-and-bind support within the users’ existing workflow.

For commercial agents using Bold Penguin, the opportunity is to pursue a Thimble quote through a platform they already use. This is an announced change to the submission workflow, rather than a new direct carrier appointment or a published change to commissions. Thimble’s integration announcement does not provide a separate producer commission schedule.

When binding stays on the platform

Bold Penguin says its broader DeX ai infrastructure is available now to brokers and carriers on its platform. That platform-wide statement does not establish that every producer account has the Thimble connection enabled; Thimble’s announcement gives no account-level activation list or separate access date.

Bold Penguin’s platform FAQ specifies that binding can happen on-platform when a carrier has integrated that step. Otherwise, the platform delivers a quote and binding continues through the carrier’s process. That distinction tells agents where they may need to finish a transaction.

Producer terms depend on the channel

Thimble’s direct broker program says participants must be licensed property-and-casualty brokers in the state where they place business to receive commissions or referral payments. Compensation follows their agreement, and product availability varies by state and insurer appetite. Those are terms for Thimble’s own broker channel, not a published eligibility or payment schedule for the Bold Penguin integration.
